Inevriation - Definition From Our Sister Publication, The Anti-Zen Dictionary

We thought we should include an updated definition posting from our sister publication - The Anti-Zen Dictionary. Though the fight against tobacco use is the core topic of this blog/website, we also take on other versions of substance abuse, like today's topic:

Inevriation: http://bit.ly/GpAAt (1) The unfortunate conceptual collision of aviation and inebriation. Is your pilot and flight crew intoxicated? Are you sure? Did you bring a breathalyzer with you?...
(2) The unfortunate (and dangerous...) expansion of this definition to include possibly the 200 or so NASA personnel and others with access to the Space Shuttle hangar(s). Unfortunate as
NASA has recently made a report that a baggie with traces of cocaine in it was found in the hangar. Brings new meaning to phrases like; "Spaced/Space", "High Flight" ,"Rocket Man" and "Space Truckin'". Foolish, foolish...

Though we and our editor are clearly, left-leaning liberals, and take a progressive stance on drug policy, we find the appearance of a Class I Controlled Substance so near to the Space Shuttle particularly disturbing. While we believe that the good people at NASA will do a good job of policing the situation and getting it under control. We still think that our Congress needs to investigate this and other alleged incidents that may have occurred at NASA. Why? Because the connection between space travel and controlled substances is obviously a dangerous one.

Give Up Toxic Tobacco Smoke Snuff and Other Products

We felt it was past time to take up the anti-smoking banner, anti-tobacco banner. We hate cigarettes, in particular. We've found that some cigarette smokers can be the nastiest people to deal with. It appears that they are mainly interested in the acquisition of the nicotine-delivery systems. We don't think cigarettes and tobacco should be just banned - they should be criminalized. They should at least be listed as a Class IV or Class V Controlled Substance. They are killing your friends and loved ones and you should at least try to get them interested in quitting. I have witnessed people purchasing 4 cartons of cigarettes at one time! At an average of about $ 200 for the purchase. Do you know what we're talking about? Have you witnessed what COPD or lung cancer can do to a person? Our mother died due to complications of COPD - it was an ugly, horrible and drawn-out torturous death.
